Ceresit CM 12 Plus Adhesive: Performance in Wet Environments
With properties that ensure strong adhesion and resistance to extreme conditions, Ceresit CM 12 Plus is the ideal choice for your cladding projects in spaces with permanent humidity. This adhesive stands out for its fluid plasticity and ability to withstand extreme temperatures.
Important Details:
Powerful Formula: Made from cement, mineral fillers and modifiers, Ceresit CM 12 Plus is presented as a gray powder, and each bag contains 25 kg.
Applicability Varied: This adhesive is suitable for installing ceramic tiles both indoors and outdoors, being ideal for spaces such as bathrooms, kitchens, hallways, cellars and more.
Key Advantages:
• Fluid Plasticity: Ensures easy and uniform application. • Heavy Traffic Resistance: Ideal for high traffic areas. • Versatility: Suitable for waterproofed surfaces and heated floors. • Water and Freeze Resistance: You can count on it even in difficult conditions.
Method of Application:
Surface preparation: The base surfaces must be clean, dry and compact. Any deposits of grease, bitumen or dust must be removed. If there are unevenness up to 5 mm, they can be corrected with Ceresit CM 12 one day before applying the tiles.
Priming and Application: Absorbent surfaces must be primed with Ceresit CT 17 depth primer. It is not necessary to soak the ceramic tiles in water before application. The contents of a bag are mixed with the appropriate amount of water until homogeneous with a professional mixer. After 5 minutes, mix again. The consistency is adjusted according to the format of the tiles and the surface on which it is applied.
Application Plates: The ceramic tiles are placed on the mortar layer in the open time and pressed. To ensure excellent adhesion, an additional layer of mortar is applied to the back of the tiles. The boards must be placed in the open time and pressed. The width of the joints should be between 1 and 8 mm, depending on the size of the boards.
Consumption and Mixing Ratio:
The consumption can vary between 1.4 and 5 kg, depending on the thickness of the layer and the porosity of the support. The mixing ratio varies between 5.5 – 6 l of water for 25 kg of powder for vertically laid ceramic tiles and 6 – 6.75 l of water for horizontally laid ceramic tiles.
